Free family Christmas event in Corby tonight

A free Christmas event is being hosted in Corby’s Coronation Park this evening (December 15).

Friends of Coronation Park are hosting ‘Festive Songs and Carols in the Park’, a free family event featuring carol singing, food and drink, music and children’s Christmas crafting.

At the event will be Chordless Corby singing their hearts out to festive songs and carols, Flyby Bars selling mulled wine and other drinks, and Corby Radio playing Christmas favourites.

Dominic Douglas, who owns Flyby Bars, said: “It’ll be a nice night because it’s a nice park, we’ll have a nice set-up with tables and benches and there’s some nice food going on down there.”

The event is being held at Coronation Park, Corby, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.

There will be numerous street food vendors at the event including Feast, Taco Lab, Dam Good Dough, Hyderabadi Dhaba and Beanie Bakes.

Friends of Coronation Park are supplying and running free games and children’s Christmas crafting sessions. These will be held in the warm pavilion.

The Core at Corby Cube will also be there doing some Christmas card crafting for children and spreading the word about the acts and events happening at The Core.

Creative performing arts company, Mad2Perform, who provide a variety of singing, drama, and dance community classes, will also be performing at the event.

Be sure to wrap up warm and keep in mind that parking is limited at the park.
